Good Shepherd’s Healthy Back School provides companies with information on maintaining a healthy back. Employees are instructed on proper body mechanics and lifting techniques in an effort to reduce work-related back injuries.

Healthy Back School Classes

  • One-hour sessions offered on-site.
  • Class size limited to 10-25 employees.
  • General anatomy is outlined in an effort to gain an understanding of back injuries and to improve body mechanics.
  • Functional body mechanics are discussed in relation to everyday activities as well as jobsite duties.
  • Proper lifting techniques are reviewed and demonstrated.
  • Proper body mechanics in relation to specific job duties are discussed and modified as needed.
  • Specific job stations can be evaluated and recommendations can be made to improve proper body mechanics.
