Good Shepherd Is Growing with the Right Partners
Mon, 05/24/2010 - 11:46am | s.gammon
Recently, Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network announced a contract to manage all medical rehabilitation services provided at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Read the press release here. This is an exciting collaboration with one of the country’s foremost health-care systems. CHOP consistently ranks as one of the top three children’s hospitals in the country by US News & World Report. It is ranked first in 2009 for pediatric cancer, diabetes and endocrine disorders, neonatal care, respiratory disorders and urology. Collaborating with an organization that is so highly respected is clearly an affirmation for Good Shepherd, and it is sure to benefit our organization and the people we serve. In recent years, we have partnered with some extraordinary health-care organizations, including Penn Medicine in Philadelphia. We have sought out these mutually beneficial partnerships, and we will continue to do so, because these collaborations are in line with two of Good Shepherd’s strategic directions. Develop new management contracts and health system partnerships Grow in new markets by identifying the right partners Partnerships, such as the management contract with CHOP, will enable Good Shepherd to live our mission and to provide excellent care and outcomes to more people in more places for years to come. The management contract with CHOP, and the partnerships that we have developed over the past few years, would not be possible were it not for the expertise of our staff. It is our clinicians, our leaders and our support staff who position Good Shepherd to grow, to thrive and to help more men, women and children overcome their challenges to achieve independence and optimal function. |
