  Promotes healing of the involved limb
• Helps reduce swelling and prepare limb for prosthetic fit
• Improves strength, endurance, and range of motion
• Helps prevent joint contracture
• Facilitates independence prior to arrival of prosthesis

• Facilitates coping skills for both patient and family
• Provides education regarding skin care and prosthesis usage
• Assists in prosthesis prescription and fit

Prosthetic Program

• Provides instruction in proper prosthesis use for ambulation, transfers, and daily living
• Facilitates community re-entry
• Provides patient and family with education regarding proper skin care
• Instructs patient in proper prosthesis donning and doffing
• Provides instruction in prosthesis use and maintenance
