Amputee Rehabilitation

Good Shepherd's Amputee Rehabilitation Program provides each of our patients with individualized treatment based on a comprehensive network of clinical and technical resources. Made possible by two distinct amputee programs, our goal is to maximize each patient's independence and help him or her regain a productive, rewarding lifestyle.

Pre-Prosthetic Program

Prosthetic Program

  • Provides instruction in proper prosthesis use for ambulation, transfers, and daily living
  • Facilitates community re-entry
  • Provides patient and family with education regarding proper skin care
  • Instructs patient in proper prosthesis donning and doffing
  • Provides instruction in prosthesis use and maintenance
