Outpatient Outcomes | Outpatient Rehab

Good Shepherd offers outpatient rehabilitation at sites throughout eastern Pennsylvania. Our objective is to help improve your function and independence. Whether you want to get back to work, back on the golf course or back to your garden, we strive to help you meet your goals.

At Good Shepherd, we are committed to objectively measuring the functional improvement and satisfaction of our patients. Below is a glimpse at our most recent outpatient outcomes.

The following data was collected between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2011. The data encompasses all of Good Shepherd's outpatient locations. Good Shepherd Outpatient Outcomes - Health Change

Improve More During Rehabilitation
Good Shepherd uses FOTO (Focus on Therapeutic Outcomes) to objectively measure the functional improvements that our outpatients see throughout the course of their rehabilitation.

During the first appointment in one of Good Shepherd's outpatient locations, patients answer computerized questions to rate their current functional status (range of motion, pain, ability to perform daily tasks, etc.). At their last therapy appointment, patients rate their functional status once again. The improvement in function during rehabilitation is called Functional Health Change. A higher number represents more improvement.

Good Shepherd Patient Outcomes - Customer Satisfaction

Good Shepherd Provides Great Customer Service
Patients who receive outpatient care at Good Shepherd tend to find their experience fulfilling and effective. When patients are discharged from an outpatient setting, they are sent a survey by an independent research firm, Press Ganey. The survey asks them about their experience with Good Shepherd, including the therapy they receive, the cleanliness of the facility and the courtesy of the employees. At left are the most recent overall Press Ganey scores for Good Shepherd's outpatient facilities.

Good Shepherd Outpatient Outcomes - Likelihood of Recommending

Our Services Are Highly Recommended
The highest compliment any patient can provide a health-care facility is a recommendation to a family member or friend. According to surveys distributed by Press Ganey, Good Shepherd patients are more than happy to tell loved ones about their positive experiences in our outpatient physical therapy locations.
